Hi;
Just wondering what this icon means (its not the same DB Icon I'm use to seeing) and where can I find a list of them?
Thanks!

Please re-post if this is still an issue to the Data Connectivity - Crystal Reports Forum or purchase a case and have a dedicated support engineer work with you directly

No one has any ideas?
I am assuming that that icon above in indicative of the way the DB connection was set up and thus shows me the issue?
I would rather not re-create all the reports with the affected connection, as I cannot merely change the source (something about tables not being correct, even though I'm copying and pasting the same SQL code).
Thanks in advance!

Our reports seem to be touching our test DB even though these are the production reports, in the producion environment with SQL hardcoding to the PROD DB.:
select * from dc1serv278.medqm.dbo.ih_potential_cases_ssi
union
select * from dc1serv278.medqm.dbo.ih_potential_cases_cdad
union
select * from dc1serv278.medqm.dbo.ih_potential_cases_hapvap
the TEST DB is called TESTMEDQM.
The title on the connection reads Potential Cases - whereas I would normally expected it to read DBMEDQM (or DC1SERV278, either or)
I set up a new correct connection (called dbmedqm) and if I right click under Available Data Sources: Current Connection -> Properties, the details listed are quite different between the two.
The Connection Potential Cases (this is the one we have issues with) lists this:
Database Type: Crystal Queries
Refreshed From Repositor: False
Use Saved Properties: True
Repository URI: osca:iiop://com.crystaldecisions.ObjRepoOSCAFactory.......
Repository Object Name: Potential Cases
Author....
etc
Whereas the new connection I created (that works fine without hitting the TEST DB):
Database Type: OLE DB(ADO)
Provider: SQLOLEDB
Data Source: dbmedqm
Initial Catalog: medqm
.....
So not that I've typed this all out, is this telling me that the first connection Potential Cases came from a repository? (It would have to be local to the developer's computer because we don't have a Repository that I know of).
Thanks for your help, I just started this job a few days ago and I've been away from crystal for a few years.

Unfortunately no, I am talking about:
tool bar> Database -> Database Expert
Then I have my available data Sources and my Selected tables
This icon appears under Selected Tables.
It is different from the normal DB icon I see because of the line/bar whatever it is in front of the DB icon.
Normally I just see the yellow DB Icon.
so I have no idea what this other icon is, but I have a feeling it is the cause of an issue I am having.

Hi Troy
Ideally the icon which comes under Selected Tables in the Database expert, comes with a expand + sign and a small dotted line however you have mentioned and as I can see that you are getting a bar besides the icon.
Can please let us know the issue that you have been facing?

Hi Troy
If you are getting this icon in the field explorer of Crystal reports, it is used to indicate the database fields.
Hope this helps!!
