Table COSP and COEP update

Hi,

I am new to the concept of Internal Orders. I want to konw as to when is the table COSP and COEP updated with entiries relating to the internal order? I searched the forum for it, but could not get any.

Please help me..as ur inputs would be helpful in my deliverable.

...just a little addition to what Eli wrote: COEP is updated for every actual posting to the IO. COSP is updated for every posting with a primary cost element. For postings with secondary cost elements the COSS table is updated.

Thanks, Karl. Indeed, COSP contains external postings only.

Hello sirs.

For one value of OBJNR sum of COSP not equal sum of COEP (sum of COSP > sum of COEP). Where the rest part of costs? MM: AUFM, RESB? Where?

Hi Alex,

COSP is totals for CO external postings only. That is CO documents which origin in another module. But there could be also CO internal postings and their totals are stored in COSS.

Hi,

These tables are valid for evry posting in CO, including the posting on internal orders. Thus, every posting on internal order will be noted in these tables. The OBJNR field will help you to distinguish between the documents posted on internal orders or on other CO objects.
