Automatic Packing

Hello Gurus

When I am doing Automatic Packing, I am getting the following errors (with green light)

1.Message No.: HUGENERAL 107

In the...... 1 loop, no packing proposal data could be determined.

2. Message No.: VHUPD 002

Diagnosis : The system could not find a packing instruction for Magerial M-1.

No packing instruction could be found for material M-1.

there is no packing instruction determination record for this material

-

---

the wrong determination procedure was used to start packing instruction determination

I have done all customized settings, matained condition record and determination record.

Please advise me where I am missing.

Hello,

Did you maintain the packing proposal (Instruction)? If not, then create the same with transaction POP1 and maintain the packing instruction determination through transaction POF1. Now check whether the system is performing the automatic packing without error?

I maintained both, packing instruction record and packing instruction determination records. After that only I am getting the said error (error is showing Green Light)

Hi,

Check Points for Automatic Packing.

1. Maintain Packaging Material Type Verp for packaging Material .For E.g (PALT ,Let Say Pallets)

2. Define packaging material type for pallets(PALT) in Customising and maintain the same in material master of packaging Material (Pallets)

3. Define material group for pallets (PLT) in Customising

4.Define Allowed Packaging Material in SPRO

For Ex PALT----- PLT

5.Now assign Material group (PLT) for packaging material in material master data of Pieces(Material To be packed) (Basic Data -1)

6. Maintain Item category Group VERP. And maintain item catgory determination in transaction 0184

Delivery Type (LF) + Item Cat Gp(VERP) + Usage (PACK) + item category( HUPM).

In this way u can pack pieces into pallets .
