Hi,

QM Module is mainly dependent upon Master Data you maintain for the material.

Folllowing Master Data is required to be maintained -

1) Material Master - QM View. In 'Inspection Set-up' maintain your required type of Inspection. For example - 01 for Goods Receipt Inspection, 03 for Inspection During Production. Also maintain QM procurement data (for procured materials). For example - Required QM Control key, Certificate type to be supplied by vendor alongwith material, Required QM system at Vendor's end.

2) Sampling Scheme - Maintain the table for Inspection lot size & sample size for each lot. Also maintain the acceptance number & rejection number.

3) Sampling Procedure - Maintain the required formula for calculating sample size (For example - 100% Inspection, Percentage Inspection, Fixed Sample, Use Sampling Scheme.)

4) Dynamic Modification Rule - If you want normal inspection, tightened inspection, reduced inspection, skip inspection based on the quality level or previous inspection data, then maintain the dynamic modification rule & assign required sampling procedure to it. (Sampling Procedures with sampling shceme are only allowed).

5) Catalogue - Maintain required codes & code groups for considering into inspection plan (These are mainly used for Qualitative Characteristics, Usage Decision). Also maintain selected set, & adopt the codes into it.

6) Inspection Method - Maintain the inspection method to be followed while inspecting the materials.

7) Master Inspection Characteristics - The details of quantitative / qualitative characteristics, control keys are maintained here.

😎 Quality Inspection Plan - Maintain the inspection operations, inspecion characteristics for each operation, usage of inspection plan, are maintained here. The inspection lot is inspected with reference to this inspection plan.

9) Quality Info Record - Maintain the material specific vendor status here.

Hope this clears your query. For details of each master data, you may refer to website, help.sap.com

Regards,

Prashant

Hi,

I am QM a Consultant.

Pls try the following Trans codes,

MM01 - Create material master (select 'Quality Management' in select view - activate 'QM proc active' & select 'QM control key', Click 'Inspn setup' & activate ur 'Inspn type')

QI01 - Create Quality Info record (Specify: 'Status profile & Release date/qty')

QP01 - Create Quality/Inspn plan (use 'copy model' for easy creation & copy existing plan). If you copy existing plan, then Work center, Inspection method, sample procedure will be copied.

MIGO - create GRN (Pls see while create GRN, Select stock type : 'Quality Inspn')

Ask your MM person to create material, source list, schdule agreement(SA), maintain SA, Release SA, then MIGO.

QA32 - See quality lot created & this TCode can be used for Inspn results/defects recording, lot closing(UD) & stock posting.

QA01 -Create manual Inspn lot.

MMBE - Verify stock posting

MB03 - Verify Movement type

Pls try & awaiting ur feedback soon.

Regards,

RPV
