Our users wanted to be able to send emails to partners who are *not* in our CRM database but are in some Excel files (with email address, of course).
After some investigation, it appeared that to fulfill this requirement, we had to use SAP External List Management, which allow to build a target group from an CSV file. It was not easy, but at the end we managed to generate a target froup from our source Excel file and to create and launch a marketing campaign with this target group.
So, the marketing campaign is correctly launched, the job is correctly executedn we get no error, but at the end, no email is sent.
The only thing the system appears to do is to create the following files in AL11:
binaries.xml
control.xml
mailform.xml
marketing_project.xml
result.xml
[email_form_name]_BodyHTML.html
[email_form_name]_BodyPlain.txt
[email_form_name]_Subject.txt
[campaign_name].CSV
So, how do we get the emails actually sent? We can't see anything in SOST.
