High Volume campaign: send emails?

Hello,

Our users wanted to be able to send emails to partners who are *not* in our CRM database but are in some Excel files (with email address, of course).

After some investigation, it appeared that to fulfill this requirement, we had to use SAP External List Management, which allow to build a target group from an CSV file. It was not easy, but at the end we managed to generate a target froup from our source Excel file and to create and launch a marketing campaign with this target group.

So, the marketing campaign is correctly launched, the job is correctly executedn we get no error, but at the end, no email is sent.

The only thing the system appears to do is to create the following files in AL11:
binaries.xml
control.xml
mailform.xml
marketing_project.xml
result.xml
[email_form_name]_BodyHTML.html
[email_form_name]_BodyPlain.txt
[email_form_name]_Subject.txt
[campaign_name].CSV

So, how do we get the emails actually sent? We can't see anything in SOST.

I cross-check all provided pictures, and suppose you can check following two points here:

1. Firstly, based on the message on campaign, seems the campaign is used to create file other than sending email. So please check whether the communication medium is choosing "Email".

2. Please check the log in SLG1 for program "CRM_MKTTGGRP_EXPORT_BATCH" and check whether there is any clues here.

2. I can't find any log for programm CRM_MKTTGGRP_EXPORT_BATCH. There are logs for the campaign, though, but nothing more than what you can see in the last screenshot of my previous post.

Hello Mathieu,

I think the reason here is caused by you are using HV communication medium. In this scenario, it is use Internet Mail (SMTP), which means you can't sent mail to external partners. You can adapt these more specifically by using the BAdI Define Outbounds for High-Volume Campaign Execution.

I had a look on these BAdI but there is nothing related to email sending 😕

So at the end, I really don't understand how to send emails with ELM, since HV communication medium is mandatory for ELM. Any idea?
