Problem importing data into hierarchy

I am having a problem importing data into an already established hierarchy.

My hierarchy table Z_Manufacturer has 4 fields:

Name [Text, Display Field 1]

Code [Integer, Display Field 2]

Phone [Text]

URL [Text]

We have 2 display fields setup because we want to see both the name and code in Data Manager. We want the name to be displayed first.

The problem I am having is that when we try to import a file of type XML schema into this table, I can successfully map the Code, Phone, and URL fields, but when I try to map the Name field, in the Destination Values portion, it lists Z_Manufacturer in hierarchy format, but when I expand it, it displays the 5 digit number instead of the name. Why is it not displaying the name???

I tried switching the order of the display fields, so that the Code is DF1 and the Name is DF2, and then the Names are displayed in the Destination Values portion for Name, but we do not want the number displayed first in Data Manager.

Any ideas???

Thanks!

    Hi Ryan

For the hierarchy table defined here what the the unique fields. Try with Name(text)+ Code(Integer) defined as Unique field. Use partition for combining the values of field Name and Code and then map to destination fields.

    This may help.

      Hi Ryan,

I had similar kind of issue while importing hierachies..

What you can do is jsut make only one field as display (before importing) and then import .....once you have done the whole import then put on Display field the name field

I think if there are more than one display field while importing hierarchies you will find issues..

    Hi

Kindly check the table name mentioned under the lookup field.

I currently don't have any of the fields set as unique as we are still in development and are playing with test data.

I cannot simply switch the display fields before and after importing as this is going to be a constant interface, not a one time load, so we are not going to want to be changing settings in the console every 15 minutes.
