If the Batch Management Option is Ticked in Material Master Purchasing / Plant / Stor Locn Views Data then the Material is Batch Managed.

You can Also Check in MMBE.

Batch Management Indicator can be set in the material master record manually or, if batches are valuated individually, it is set automatically for the plants concerned, in which case it cannot be changed.

The indicator cannot be changed if stocks exist in either the current period or in the previous period. The reason for checking the previous period is because stocks can be posted to this period when goods movements are entered.

Ashok

Hi,

If in the material master record of a component, any flag is found in the "Batch management requirement" check box; in any one of the following views:

Purchasing,Warehouse Mgmt1, Plant data/ stor. 1, Sales: General/ Plant - then the component can be termed as being managed in batches.

Regards,

Narayana.

Hi,

In the material master for that material you would have a tick for batch management in the Plant data/storage 1 view of the material master record.

Thanks & Regards,
