Please view the attachment. We are having different product lines as follows -

1. Testing

2.Lighting

3. Security

We want product line wise balance sheet,Profit and Loss and trial balance.

We are also using different cost centers as shown in the attachment.

While adding different transactions we found that cost center is applicable for Profit and Loss G/L item.

Can I define cost center at balance sheet level ? If yes, then how can I achieve this functionality ?

Dear

Cost centers work for P&L accounts only you can use branches feature or segmented chart of account to have balance sheet according to each product line. But keep in mind if you use branches feature you have to sell stock from one branch and purchase in other if you want to transfer stock from one branch to other.

Hi,

For the Cost center in the Balance Sheet Account i.e. the Account Type = 'Other', the user needs to manually enter the cost center in the Journal Entry of such account row.

For the Cost Center in the Income and Expenditure account i.e. the Account Type = 'Sales' & 'Expense', the user can set cost center as default in the Chart of Account to have the values in the row of the account Journal Entry.

regards,

Jitin

Hi,

If user manually updates the journal Entry, system balance sheet report cannot be generated according to cost center, customize balance sheet report needs to be developed in crystal.
