ESS Internal Server Error - com.sap.dictionary.runtime.DdException

Former Member

Hi all,

I installed ESS 1.31 on an EP7.0 SP15 (required packages PCUI_GP and SAPESS are also installed in version 603). Backend is an ECC 6.03 with EA-HR (SP26) and EA-FIN (SP11), NO dual stack installation.

When I try to open any ESS iView I always get the following exception:

com.sap.dictionary.runtime.DdException: Type com.sap.pcuigp.xssutils.pernr.model.grpinfo.types.Hrxssce_Service_Appl_Path does not exist

at com.sap.dictionary.types.mdi.util.ProviderUtil.createAbapTypeXmlMap(ProviderUtil.java:400)

at com.sap.dictionary.runtime.mdi.DataProvider.createSimpleTypeFromAbapType(DataProvider.java:587)

at com.sap.dictionary.runtime.mdi.DataProvider.getDataType(DataProvider.java:287)

at com.sap.dictionary.runtime.DdDictionary.getDataType(DdDictionary.java:94)

at com.sap.dictionary.runtime.DdBroker.getDataType(DdBroker.java:164)

...

...

...

Could anyone help me with this problem? There's just one other thread dealing with this problem which mentions the JCO connections. But the JCO connections work so far. Tests are successful.

Thanks a lot for your help in advance.

Joschi

Something wrong with your ECC system requirement. Check the Enhancement package 3 in ECC system. Also go thru the sap help link below. SAP clearly mentioning what u need.

Did anyone solve this issue? and if so what was the solution?

I have patched the development and QA landscape with the exact same patch levels and the error only happens in the Development Portal system when you try to enter leave requests

com.sap.pcuigp.xssutils.pernr.model.grpinfo.types.Hrxssce_Service_Appl_Path does not exist

SAP have said it may be a patch mismatch... but why does the QA work and not the DEV.
