MRP for Nonvaluated materials!

Former Member

Hi all,

I need to run MRP for Nonvaluated materials, but unfortunally SAP Standard does not have this possibility.

I asked the oppinion of SAP about this issue, and they have sugested to use:

BAdI MD_CHANGE_MRP_DATA

- Method CHANGE_MDPSX_MDBS (for POs and scheduling lines)

- Method CHANGE_MDPSX_MDUB (for the PO release)

Does anyone allready tried this scenario?

Do you have any other sugestion for this problem?

Thanks in advance!

Best Regards

Dear,

I am getting all right...Is the plant in same comp code or different co code?

Dear Rajesha,

The Plant (or MRP AREA) are the same in the two samples (evaluated Vs non-evaluated materials)...therefore, the answer to your question is yes, it is the same company!

THNKS for all your help!

Dear,

Please note that you can use MRP for non valuated material(material type UNBW) ..in Material type attributes in OMS2 transaction, select the MRP tabpage.

Cretae a material with MRP views...and run MRP it works.....

please try and come back

After configuring the Material Master I have a big problem....

I verified that, in stock transport orders for nonvaluated materials

consumption, the MRP planning considers the quantities of both MRP

elements u201COrd.DSu201D and u201CPOitemu201D as available quantity.

For stock transport orders of valuated materials consumption, the

system as a different behaviour: u201CPOitemu201Dquantity is not considered as

available quantity.

Why doesnu2019t the system have the same behaviour for valuated and

nonvaluated materials?

In both situations, valuated and nonvaluated materials, the u201CPOitemu201D

consumption quantity is not a stockable quantity, so it shouldnu2019t be

considered as available quantity.

Dear,

Please try to understand the concept.

System behavious exactly like a valuated material...as with respect to qty consideration system will consider same as valuated material...only difference is staock value is zero.

Now about the PO item and Order DS.

Order DS is requirement and PO item is recept.

System considers exactly as the stockable material.

I have not understiood your sentence-the u201CPOitemu201D

consumption quantity is not a stockable quantity"

If you want system not to consider PO item and Order DS in MRP net calculation,,,only option is to go for planning stg 11 and enter the qty in MD62. then when you run MRP system will create only reciept item with out considereing the PO item/order DS and stock.

Dear Rajesha Vittal,

I believe I was not completly clear in my post!

The problem is, when I run MD05, for a nonavalueted material, the calculus takes into account the "ORD.DS" and the PO item. The result of this is a list like the follow:

24.07.2008 DivEst PES823 /00001 20 10 990

As you can see, there are two lines,the first one adds twelve units and the second one subtract the same twelve units.

For valuated materials the result of MD05 is the following:

16.10.2007 DivEst PES551 /00001 07 12 1.707 0 2000

16.10.2007 SolCnt PES551 /00001 12- 1.695 0 2000

As you can see, the result of the calculus for both scenarios is not the same!

SAP told me this is the "Standard behaviour" "approved by most customers over years"

The algoritm is the following (LM61XF1I):

When account assignment category is filled (e.g. K)

- if the material type is defined as value-updated = X in the plant,

system will not consider the quantity as stock for planning.

- if the material type is defined as value-update = ' ' in the plant,

system will consider the quantity as stock for planning.

The solution given by SAP modify BADi logic.

Do you think this is the ultimate solution for this case?

P.S.

When I said "u201CPOitemu201D consumption quantity is not a stockable quantity" I meant that if you are cunsuming a quantidy of a material, you basicly are taking out from your stock, that quantidy!

Look forward to hear from you!

Dear,

I think it is till confusing...sorry for my porr understanding

The following is for which materials?

24.07.2008 DivEst PES823 /00001 20 10 990

The following is for which materials?

16.10.2007 DivEst PES551 /00001 07 12 1.707 0 2000

16.10.2007 SolCnt PES551 /00001 12- 1.695 0 2000

Where is Order DS and PO item in BOTH stock and non valuated material?

16.10.2007 DivEst PES551 /00001 07 12 1.707 0 2000

Dear Rajesha Vittal

The result of MD05 (in Engluish =)) is the follow:

Non-evaluated Material

24.07.2008 POitem PES824 /00001 20 10 1.000

Where:

24.07.2008 = Date

POitem = MRP Element

PES824 = MRP Elemente Data (PES824=PO nº)

20 = Exception

10 = Qtd.

1000 = Available Qtd.

Evaluated Material

16.10.2007 POitem PES551 /00001 07 12 1.707

16.10.2007 Ord.DS PES551 /00001 12- 1.695

I quote what I had previously said:

"I verified that, in stock transport orders for nonvaluated materials

consumption, the MRP planning considers the quantities of both MRP

elements u201COrd.DSu201D and u201CPOitemu201D as available quantity.

For stock transport orders of valuated materials consumption, the

system as a different behaviour: u201CPOitemu201Dquantity is not considered as

available quantity.

Why doesnu2019t the system have the same behaviour for valuated and

nonvaluated materials?

In both situations, valuated and nonvaluated materials, the u201CPOitemu201D

consumption quantity is not a stockable quantity, so it shouldnu2019t be

onsidered as available quantity."

In conclusion, system behavior acts differently, accordingly the material type! And SAP says "...Works as Designed..." but in my opinion does not make much sence.

Look forward to hear from you!
