Create a tile for web dynpro Java in fiori lunchpad

Hello,

My customer is using SAP EHP8 with FIORI.

My requirement is to create a new tile in fiori lunchpad for an existing web dynpro java using lpd_cust.

A was able to do it for a web dynpro abap but not for a web dynpro java because a have to fill same parameter such as namespace and application name (may be something else) but i don't know where i can find those informations.

I have access to the old sap java portal but i can't see those parameter in the iview/page configuration.

Help please.

Regards,

Dear Customer,

You have to configure URL for web dynpro java application as the "Any web application" type.

Hi, Kevin -

How do you enable single sign-on with this approach to avoid prompting the user to sign on to this target system? We're using an on-premise Fiori Gateway system and trying to create a tile that points to a java webdynpro application on an on-premise Composition Environment system. This is part of our current SBP (budget planning) landscape.

Specifically, I'm wondering if an RFC can be set up properly to accomplish this, and whether the remaining portion of the URL can be configured in the semantic action to point directly to the java webdynpro application.... For example, my application might be

https://<hostname>/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!<2fedstuff>!2fcom.sap.cdev.pb...

And the RFC would point to <hostname>. Then for the Target Mapping, it would go against the corresponding system alias, and the URL field would get the /irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!<2fedstuff>!2fcom.sap.cdev.pbf.bp_folder!2fcom.sap.cdev.pbf.pages!<2fedstuff>.pbf.pages.<appname>

Am I on the right track?

I would suggest you embed the app using it's URL.
