Good Day Experts!
I opted to ask your valuable inputs before contacting SAP.
I created a new MRP Type with "Roll forward" indicator as 1(Delete firmed Planned Order) and defined roll forward period in MRP Group then assigned the MRP Type/MRP Group to MRP view.
However, only those unfirmed old Planned Orders are being deleted and not those firmed ones.
Any input on this? Thanks!
Dear,
Please let me know how did you enter the days...you need to enter with minus sign if to be deleted before todays date, + sign if to be deleted from today to future dates.
Please check and come back how did you enter the data i roll forward field and is the system is deleting the firmed planned orders or not?

Thanks for the prompt reply Rajesha!
I did enter a minus sign so that all planned orders lying in the past will be deleted. But after the planning run, FIRMED planned order are not deleted. When I unfirm the planned orders and do the planning run again, they are deleted.
Hello?
I just want to share resolution of this issue.
I sent a message to SAP and here is the useful reply I got;
"System ignores roll forward period for materials with reporting point processing".
When I deactivated the "Reporting point backflush" in REM Profile used, it allows deletion of old firmed Planned Order.
The reason of roll forward period being ignored for materials with reporting point processing is due to the application of SAP Note 457038.
The said note is to resolve the issue of partially confirmed Planned Orders lying in the roll forward period from being changed or deleted to avoid loss of component qty when the BOM is re-exploded(calculating component qty based on Planned Order open qty) in the MRP run
Thanks!
