How to create a new G/L account is SAP Byd

Please advise how i can create a new G/L account is SAP byD

Dear Aneesh

Firstly you should have access to the Business Configuration Work Center.

Following steps need to be followed

1.You have to click on "Open Activity List".

2.Then find "Chart of Accounts, Financial Reporting Structures, Account Determination " & click on open

3.Then click on "Edit Chart of Accounts"

4. Before proceeding on the creation of GL, you should know the following:

a.Chart of Accounts under which the GL is to be created.

b.Type of GL that is to be created

b.Whether GL posting block is to be activated or not

c.Open item management is to be allowed or not

5.Thereafter click on ADD to create the GL with the above restrictions.

6.After GL creation the user should assign the same in the financial reports based on the type of the GL created.

7.The GL needs to be assigned to a specific account determination group if it is so desired.
