I have a question: how to delete a periodic background job,

I delete it from sm37, but it seems that I only delete it today, and it can be found again tomorrow. By the way , I am in the PRD800 client, whether these background jobs should be maintain in client000?

thanks

Dear Victor,

If its a standard Job please do try deleting that background job in SM36 -> Standard Jobs.

If you want the standard jobs to be maintained in an appropriate client,

1.Delete all those standard jobs

2. Login to client 000 and please go to SM36 -> Standard Jobs, select default scheduling

Dear victor,

Here is a very simple way,but take caution before doing.

If you have doubt then first run it on sandbox or a test system.

Go to Se38 or sa38 and run RSBTCDEL2 online or background upto you and delete the released, scheduled, finished and canceled jobs older than a particular date.

This info is irrelavant and missleading... this report is just to clean old batch jobs and is part of the SAP REORG jobs...it would not fix the issue.

As mentioned above the right way to delete a periodical job is to delete the job with released status.. that will stop the job for good.

Hi Victor,

You can do this way also if you want a job not to be running just select the job in released status and from the menu Job--> click on released to schedule, it will not run until you release this job again.

From SM37, give the JOB name and select both

Scheduled and released.Change the start date according .

From the result u can select the appropriate Job and then delete it.
