Hello, SAP Experts,

New System: BW on HANA

OS: IBM Power Linux 64bit

Old external non-SAP system: Sybase database

Connection method: ODBC connection

Now we would like to extract partial external Sybase data to BW on HANA using ODBC. The BW application server is residing on IBM Power Linux. Is it supported by SAP?

1590719 - SYB: Updates for SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise (SAP ASE)

1507573 - External DB connect to an SAP ASE database

The above notes mention "The most recent version of the client software (DBCLNT15SPxx.SAR) is available on SAP Service Marketplace under 'Support Packages and Patches'." or

SAP ASE database server patches are available under:
-->SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise
-->Database Patches
-->Sybase ASE 15.7 FOR BUS. SUITE (when downloading ASE 15.7) or SAP ASE 16.0 FOR BUS. SUITE (when downloading ASE 16.0)
--><your platform>

But we cannot find SAP ASE 16.0 FOR BUS. SUITE on Linux IBM Power 64bit. If the scenario is supported, how can we use the Sybase ASE 15.7 or 16.0 Refresh Linux on Power 64bit to connect? Currently, we encountered the following error.

-- ERROR Database dbco test: ADBC error 'Internal error 16 has occured'
