Hi gurus,

doubts about implementation

1. How much will be team size (min and max)

2. How many modules will be implemented (min and max) and names of modules?

3. Is there any module called costing and for this seperate consultants will be there

or any functional module have to take card of this?

4. what is the business peocess in your clint place & how will you explaiin it?

5. If some body is joining at realization phase in implementation what would be his

role and responsibilitys?

6. if SDconsultatnt have to make a developement at the satge of post implementation

support then which server is he going to workand do the testing? and how he is

going to transport the request?

Correct solutions will be rewarded.

pavan.

Hi there,

1st, these kind of questions should not be posted in forums. This forum is for real time issues / clarifications & solutions.Pls donot post these kind of generic questions into this forum. Anyway here is your answer.

1) Team size depends on the scope of the proj. Depends on the complexity of the project. In a complex project, you may have 10-12 people including the ABAP resource & team lead. A simple proj may have just 6-7 members with 1 person from all the modules in scope.

2) There is nothing like min & max modules of the project. It depends on the scope of the project ie what the project intends to deliver. In a basic implementation project you can have SD, MM, FI, ABAP, PP etc. There is no standard that a proj should have a fixed num of modules.

3) Usually FI will take care of costing & finance. But if it has more customization involved, proj may choiose to have people specialising in CO.

4) Business process of the client is a very specific question. Depends on client to client. But usually all the clienst inplemenating SD will have sales order processing, delivery & invoicing. It includes all the basic & standard concepts of SD. It may also have advanced functionalities like Intercompany, Consignment.

5) In realisation we just do the construction or development of the design that is made in the blueprint phase. The Analysis & Design doc is the outcome of the blue print phase. Basing on the design as an SD consultant you will start your configurations, customization & any ABAP development if required.

6) After implementation, any change is done through change requests. Whatever may be the case, any development is done in the development server. When the changes are saved, it will be saved under a transport request TR num. After the unit test is done, changes are moved to TEST server. You move the TRs in SE09 if you have access or basis team will move them.

in TEST server, business users will do the UAT & other integration & regression tests & move the TR into PROD server.

The process is the same if it is a fresh development or a change requests. The time immediately after the Go Live uis called Warranty or post production support. The people involved in the proj implementaion will support this phase before final nahdover to the support.
