iFlow Deployment Failed with no Trace

Former Member

Hello Friends,

I am facing a peculiar issue. Here my in tenant I am not deploy a particular iFlow although it is not in error. There is only a message pops up immediately after I trigger the deployment. It says "<iflow> deployment failed".

There's nothing in the monitor to trace what happened. In Problem tab there are 2 entries in warning.

I am clueless what is happening although they are warnings. Please suggest.

Regards

Amitabh

Hello Amithab,

Switch to Eclipse Tooling and check the task overview then you will be able to see the exact reason for IFlow Deployment failure.

PS: In above case deployment is successful and you will be able to see your integration project failure here.

Thanks Sri. I could trace the error in eclipse. But not able to interpret the issue. Can you please help.

Detailed error -

Generation, build and deploy failed for Predictive_Service_iFlow with error - while trying to invoke the method org.eclipse.emf.ecore.resource.Resource.load(java.io.InputStream, java.util.Map) of a null object loaded from local variable 'resource'

Hello amithab,

Could you please check if all the headers, properties and variables are correctly configured and if any external parameters are correctly configured. Also could you please share more details about the iflow so that we can find some point where this issue might be occurring.

Is it custom integration or you are customizing any standard content.?

Hi Sri,

Please see the iFlow below along with warnings. I tried to remove the mail sending activity but still it is not getting deployed.

Hello Sri,

I found a note specifying similar issue. It talks about mapping resources to be in small letters. Please SAP Note : 2573691.

I deleted the resources and the iFlow. Regenerated XSD and WSDL with names in small characters. But when I upload the resources they still take the old names. And is this really a problem for them to be in small characters. I have previous iFlows running without such issues.

My iFlow is still failing to deploy.

Please suggest.

Hi Amitabh,

Could you please check System logs from operations view. That might provide more information. The warnings sent shouldn't affect the deployment.

Please find the screenshot for reference.

Hope this helps.

Hi Praveen,

I checked the trace repeatedly. It is capturing every other deployment/undeployment activities apart from the iFLow I am working on :). Bit surprised.

Hi Amitabh,

Just a workaround, if you have your eclipse set-up ready download the content and try to do a check from eclipse. This might show some issues with iflow if any.

Thanks Praveen. I found the issue which is a wild guess though and can be a bug not handled in exceptions by the product.
