Hello Friends,
When I try to transfer planning products from ERP to APO side via CIF, it automatically
creates planning product hierarchy in transaction /SAPAPO/RELHSHOW.
To handle this CIF queue in APO side, I expected that the above BAdI would be triggered. But it did not happen. Any ideas like when this would be triggered ?
Hi Arun,
the Planning Product CIF procedure goes through the following path:
(ECC side: CIF_PPR_SEND)
> /SAPAPO/CIF_PROD_LOC_INBOUND
>> /SAPAPO/DM_PROD_LOC_MAINTAIN
>>> /SAPAPO/DM_RELH_PLOC_MAINTAIN
There are no BAdi-s or user exits on this path.
The BAdi referred in the screenshots are used in /SAPAPO/CIF_PRDLOCREL_INBOUND function module, which is another type of hierarchy creation path.
Find more information about SCM Hierarchies at: https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/x/JYtIGQ

Gergely

Hello Gergely,
Thanks a lot for your reply. I understand that this exit (or any other) will not be triggered during planning product CIF.
You have mentioned 'The BAdi referred in the screenshots are used in /SAPAPO/CIF_PRDLOCREL_INBOUND function module, which is another type of hierarchy creation path.' How do I create such a hierarchy in ERP and transfer to APO?
With this answer I can understand how to create hierarchy in ERP, how to CIF it and trigger the BADI in APO side?
Thanks & Regards,
Arun K.
Hi Arun,
I did further digging.
If I hit up the ''Where used List'' on this Function Module /SAPAPO/CIF_PRDLOCREL_INBOUND, it takes me to the CIF sender FM: CIF_MATLOCREL_SEND (at ECC).
SAP Note gives more hint: 1604513 - CIF location product hierarchy inbound BAdi /SAPAPO/CIF_ENHANCE_MDHIER_LP.
So you can review SPRO path ''Maintain Product-Relevant Hierarchies and Hierarchy Structures''. Check the help.
Then check ''Location Product Hierarchy for AFS Planning'' help.
I did internal search and derived the information that the CIF path with the BAdi is called only via an ASF Industry solution.
The BAdi has not been deployed to a regular ERP > SCM CIF path for e.g. Planning Product, it serves solely IS AFS needs.
Best,
Gergely
