oracle patch set information

Hi,

We have oracle 10.1 ,10.2 in some systems and we need to update oracle patch set

could anyone help me whether if I want to change oracle 10.1 to 10.2 will come under upgrade or updating patch set?

if yes what is the procedure about how to update patch in Oracle?

Hi,

to go from 10.1 to 10.2 you need to upgrade your database, a patch set will not do it.

Please check the upgrade documentation in the SAP Marketplace:

http://service.sap.com/instguides.

Other thing would be that you want to go from 10.2.0.1 to 10.2.0.2

In this case, you only need to apply the patch set relevant for your Operating system. In this case, follow the note mentioned by Kaushal
