How to add applications to Users on BI Launchpad


I am using BI Platform 4.2 and my users are logging into BI Launchpad (BOE/BI)

But they are not seeing a list of applications to use like the administrator user. For example, the admin user can see Lumira icon and use it to make stories via the web, but the general user cannot see this icon.

I looked in the admin guide for BI platform and didnt see any way to configure the permissions to applications. What am i missing?

    Found the answer

    Hi Shashikiran

    Please see if the following will help:

    1. Login to CMC as an Administrator
    2. Navigate to Applications >> SAP Lumira Configuration >> User Security
    3. Click on 'Add Principals' and add required user/group you would like to grant the right and then click on 'Add & Assign Security'
    4. Click on Advanced >> Add/Remove Rights
    5. Click on Application >> SAP Lumira Configuration
    6. Grant the right "Launch SAP Lumira for Enterprise from BI launch pad" (Apply to Object and Sub-Object)
    7. Apply & OK

    • Hi Matthew,

      Although you can grant rights to individual users, best practice is to create a user group, assign the user to the group, and grant access to the group. This will make it easier to duplicate access between users and will simplify your security setup.
