Ibase is not an active ibase?

I do not completely understand the idea of "Ibase" and how to configure it properly. I am setting up a test ChaRM system and i am getting an error stating that the one i configured is not active.

Do you know where i can read more about Ibases?

I have configured them cross solution and have assigned to my business partner. When i choose it in my new Change Request and hit enter, i get the error that Current Ibase Component is not an Active Ibase.

However, when i assigned business partners, the only option is to deactivate, so i assumed it was active?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Margo

    Hi.

Transaction DSWP -> Edit -> Initial Data Transfer for iBase

Did you perform this step already? This will add all systems within your solutions to the iBase.

You may also use tx: IB52 to add/change systems manually.

    /cheers

      Hello,

I had this same problem until I selected the "Component" on the line "IBase / Component". The component can be selected by clearing the IBase number field clicking on enter. This should make the Component field now editable. If you use the search drop down be sure to enter the number for the "Installed Base" which mine was 1. From there you should get a list of IBase components to choose from. This will correct the error.

The other option is to find the component number from IB52 or IB53 for example mine was 60 for my Solution Manager system.

      Hope that helps,
