SAP Netweaver 7.5 got directory structure as /usr/sap/SID/DVEBMGS00 - Please advise us

We installed Netweaver 7.5 with high availability system.

ASCS and DB instance in Node1 and ERS instance in Node 2.

When we installed PAS standalone in Node1 (which has ASCS and DB instance in cluster), we got the directory structure as /usr/sap/SID/DVEBMGS00. But as per the SAP documentation,
it should be /usr/sap/sid/D00.

Please let us know why the instance has DVEBMGS created instead of D00 and also whether this will create any issue. .

Note: We got the directory structure as /usr/sap/SID/D00, when we installed stand alone additional server instance in node2

Environment
AIX 7.1
SAP NW 7.5
Oracle 12.1.0.2

Hi, and by the way, take a look at:

2360614 - Primary Application Server (PAS) Instance Directory renamed as of SAP Netweaver 7.50

Great Idea of SAP. A System upgraded to NW 7.5 remains on old Directory structure, but a new installation gets the new directory structure. If you want to create a new sandbox system you get a problem. Unfortunately a system copy of an upgraded system (old directory structure) is done into a system with new directory structure. Thanxs for that sap!

Hi,

I have selected this option during the installation process.

Hello Subb,

It was not supposed to create the directory DVEBMGS00 for SAP NW 7.5. For the reference, can you please upload the 'sapinst_dev.log' file for installation of PAS on Node 1?
