Hi Folks,

We are on the latest patch of SP06.. and I am trying to delete the aliean entry for a attribute that is not linked . It just doesn't seem to go away !!

Can some one let me know if there is a certain procedure tobe followed to delete the alias for an unlinked attribute ?

Hi Vinay,

Nice question you have raised.

This happens when the repository is multilingual. Select the attribute whose alias you want to delete, go to Language Detail tab there delete the alias of the primary language i.e. black text and you will find the alias will automatically deleted for other languages as well.

Now check the Attribute Detail tab you wont find the alias.

Kindly update the thread status.

Hi Vinay,

You can delete the alias name of an attributes. Go to language detail tab and delete the alias name which maintained in the original language (hilighted as black color).

Hi,

In Attribute Detail under Taxonomy mode, As you can not Delete Attributes Individually Name as it say Attribute Name Required. means In Attribute Details tab you cant have attribute without Name. Similarly you can not Delete Alias once given with Attribute Name under Attribute Detail, But you can do this under Language Detail tab.
