Mass Change of Uses in Quality Plan

How can we make a mass change in uses ( i.e. from '05' to '03' in Quality plans ) other then a use of LSMW.

Hi,

I am using CWBQM to change the usage from 5 to 3 of all the inspection plans.Please guide how can i change the usage from 5 to 3 in 1 go without using excel

Hey Shreya,

Follow the steps,,,

Run CWBQM

Enter Current Working Area as "Q_TSK_000000000010"

Press Enter

Select the Task list Type as "Inspection Plan"

As you need to change it for all inspection plan in the data base, don't use any other filter criteria just Press "F8" to load the task list.

In the next appearing screen EWB: Headers Overview the 15th column is for USAGE.

Select this column

Then Select all line items (Short cut key to do such is (Ctr+F2)

Then follow the path Extras--->Mass Change

Enter New Value here

Check and then Execute.

Thanks a lot to guide me about Engg. Workbench. I can made a lot of changes thru it and even there is an tricky option to copy the inspection plan too But here also we can copy the plans one by one.

Hi Atul,

My inputs helped you is big thing for me, rather I can say it is a big thing for any genuine contributor at SDN.

Anyways as you truly said CWBQM is really a good trx that is helps to change the Inspection plan data in mass for each screen level data for of the Inspection plan.

Anyways in the end there is no any expert comment from my side. But yes onr request I will surely do is, "pls spell my name correct, Buddy"!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's "SHYAMAL"

Thanks a lot to guide me about CWBQM. I tried it on development server but i stucked at many points like

1.'Which Current working area to be select & why??.

2. I tried with put all material codes, Usage '5' , Plant 'KPCH', Task List Type 'Q' then i stucked that how exjectly can i copy all plans (including MIC's etc.) to a new Usage '03' by using it?? Please explain me so that i can use it correctly

Dear Atul,

It think if you are trying to copy the plan with CWBQM, don't try it. It will not work like that.

But yes if you want to change any field of the inspection plan in mass it will work perfectly.

You asked to change the usage of the inspection plans in mass, then it will surely work.

Current Working Are: It defines.........

- Which focus is to be used, that is which object type the selection criteria refer to.

- Which object types can be displayed and processed.

- Whether objects are automatically locked for changing by other users, and which objects these are.

You can select any of the Wrok Area

"Q_OPR_000000000010" Will have the focused are at Operation level of the Inspection plan and will lock the Operation level data for the Task list while you will be executing the workbench. at the other hand "Q_TSK_000000000010" will have focus at Header level data only and will lock the Header level details while working at CWBQM.

Now it you have to decide what you want to do If you need only the operation level details to be locked for the Inspection plan and go with Q_OPR_000000000010 and If you wish the entire task list get locked, no one should access the task list from header level it self during the CWBQM execution, go with Q_TSK_000000000010.

Don't put any data at "BASIC Selection Criteria"

Where you have enter the task list type "Q", see just above this section, there is a Button "ADDITIONAL SELECTION CRITERIA" is there, click on it and you will have more selection fields available.

To change (Again I will say to change not to Copy) the details at MIC level don't execute the "Load Task list" instead press "Ctfl + F7"
