HTTP server not available

Dear all,

Our Trex server was working fine. But suddenly it started showing some errors. Now in TREX monitor, HTTP server is shown as Not Available. Index and Queue servers are not displayed.

I tried the HTTP server url : http://<server>:35005/TREXHttpServer/TREXISAPIExt.dll in the explorer. But its showing a message "Service Unavailable'.

Everything was working fine.

What could be the issue?

In the task manager the following are not running:

TREXDaemon.exe

TREXIndexServer.exe

TREXNameServer.exe

TREXPreprocessor.exe

TREXQueueServer.exe

Thanks and Regards,

Das.

Hi Das,

please try out the follwing.

(1)Connect with the server, where your Trex is installed (remote desktop).

(2)Then open the Trex Admin Console

(3) Navigate to Landscape -> Services

(4) In Tab Services you can see the running Trex services

When there are no running services then

(5) Goto MC-tab and stop the Trex

After that you can restart it.

Bye

Hi krishna,

If your TREX was wiorking before and suddenly it does not work, it could be one of the following:

1) Try to ping the TREX server. Maybe the server hosting the TREX is unavailable, thus resulting in your TREX service unavailable. Contact your DataCentre guys to help you check if the server hostuibng the TREX is ok. Check the network connection of the server as at time, people do make mistake and unplug the wrong network cable.

Possible Solution: Ask for respond time check on the server and physical network check as well. If all is ok, then request for a restart of the server or the TREX.

2) Could be link to someone accidentally delete the settings in your TREX service.

Possible solution:

1. Log on to the host on which the SAP J2EE Engine is running.

2. Start the SAP J2EE Engine Visual Administrator Tool and log on to the SAP J2EE Engine.

3. Choose Cluster -> Services -> TREX Service.

4. Check and make the required changes if needed.

5. Save your changes and confirm the restart of the service.

6. Repeat the last three steps for all other server processes of the cluster.

Hope that helps. Award points for useful suggestions.
