    Hi,

if you are familiar with SAP systems, you could use the DBA Planning Calendar to schedule jobs to perform your backups.

    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/b0571f59-4bd8-2910-269d-ef73f0e29c57

    Chapter 6.2

    Regards, Jens

you can use tx DB13 to schedule your backup or you can make use cronjob in the aix system

for cronjob you can create a file like called backupweekly.sh with db2 backup command inside it

you can backup dot tape / file system

    eg.

    db2 backup db ER6 to /dev/rmt2 with 4 buffers buffer 32 . or

    db2 backup db ER6 to /backup with 4 buffers buffer 32.

backup to CD ? i dont think its possibel since CD and DVD having limited sizes 😉

try to goole with keyword "db2 backup" and "db13" plentry explaination for you.

If you dont want this troubles, buy a backup solution 😊
