Hello
One question - Do you have ECC 6.0 SP9 -- Dual Stack or Single Stack ??
Dual Stack means : Abap and Java together
Single stack means : either of them as required
The procedure would differ in either case of system :-
For downloading the SP pls log on tp SAP Service Marketplace - http://service.sap.com/swdc
Go to SAP Software Distribution Centre --- downloads -- support packages and patches -- My company's Application Component's --- SAP ERP -- SAP ERP 6.0 - support package stacks
Target will be SP13 : Choose source as SP09 --- Select as per the server components installed or used . --- Click next Step - - Choose according to your Operating System and Database --- Click on Next step --- the files will be displayed here = two steps here 1. save the file as XML somwhere 2. Add all the files in download basket.
Also In the downlaod - select entry by application group - additonal componnents - SPAM/SAINT update - select your required version - add it to the download basket
Now go to your solution manager - give tcode DSWP - selct the solution containing ECC 6.0 system - Create a MOPZ ticket and go to the download basket to confirm the file download --- once confirmed you can start your SAP Download manager for getting the files for SP upgrade.
If you know Solution Manager - all the above steps can be done there also ***
If you want more details - you can write to me on emailrraj yahoo com
After downloading all the files -- move the ABAP package files to your server : path - "/usr/sap/trans"
Uncar all the files : /sapmnt/SID/exe/SAPCAR -xvf file name
Move the Java packages to your server : path "usr/sap/trans/EPS/in"
Also move that XML file created above to the same location ..
If you have just ABAP system :
Pls log on to client 000 which is the base client and give tcode "SPAM" (support Package manager)
Select load packages (first in the menu) from application server - once the files are loaded
Select Update SPAM/SAINT and run it .. once the SPAM/ SAINT is updated
you can define the queue and import the selected component packages like BASIS, ABAP etc ..
once done --- for Java stack :-
Go to /usr/sap/ SID/Dxxxx/JCxx/j2ee/JSPM
and run go.sh (unix) / go .bat (win)
It will load and ask for SDM password . Once laoded : select JSPM update and click on next - JSPM (Java Support Pack Manager) will update itself : run go.sh /go.bat again and select support packages this time . click on next (JSPM wil check and validate and load the archives from /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in ) - lick on start . it will fininsh itself .
You are done with your SP13 upgared ...

Hi,
SPAM is Support Pack Application Manager by which one will be able to deploy the support packages.
OCS - Online Correction Service , wherein you will find list of important notes during deployment of support packs, which is regularly updated.
Check for the below link which will be useful in Applying Support Packages

Dear Jyothi,
Just to add what Ashok has mentioned.
Before starting to patch it is always a good practice to take SPAM to the latest release.
