Could some let me know where to configuure the automatic determination of Storage Location in Outbound Delivery.

hi,

Shipping conditions is one of the criteria to determine shipping points. Shipping points is determined for each order item in sales order. The system automatically proposes the shipping point at item level.

You can change shipping point manually in the order.

Shipping point determination-shipping conditions from (Img of S.doc type or customer master record of sold-to party) loading group of Material master delivering plant of customer material infor record.

In r/3 shipping conditions are assigned to Sales document type. If it is not assigned it is proposed from master record of sold-to-party.

In your case,you have to define all shipping conditions and assign Shipping points for each shipping conditions.You will have as many shipping points for as shipping conditions.

Customizing :

Shipping point determination-IMG-Logistic execution-shipping-basic shipping function.

1.If storage location for picking is not specified in the order item, the system determines the storage location when it creates the outbound delivery and copies it into the delivery item. Otherwise, the storage location entered in the order item is used in the outbound delivery.

2. The system determines the picking location based on a rule defined in the delivery type. The following rules are shipped in the standard system:

3. MALA: The picking location is determined based on the shipping point, the delivering plant, and the storage condition for the material as defined in the material master.

4. RETA and MARE: These rules are mainly used in trade scenarios.

5. You can also use the customer exit in SAP enhancement V02V0002 to implement storage location determination.

6. The picking location search is activated for each delivery item category.

Hi,

Picking location / storage location determination: - MALA, RETA, MARE

u2022MALA: - determination based on the shipping point, the delivering plant, and the storage condition (Material master-plant data/storage 1)

u2022RETA: - Determination based on the delivering plant, situation, and the storage condition.

u2022MARE: - First MALA then RETA

storage location can be automatically assigned by determining the picking location ..for this you must do the picking location determination .. in logistics execution---> shipping ---> picking ---> picking location determination .. we need another variable called " storage conditon "..for this..

Hi,

Apart from the details explained above by others, for the delivery line item category (transaction 0VLP), you need to check the field Determine SLoc under warehouse control and packing.

For storage location in delivery u have to do the storage location determination.

Don't confuse it is same as the picking point determination

For that u can do by using T.Code - OVL3.

Three types of rules are there. Based on ur requirement use any one out of these three

MALA: Shipping Point / Plant / storage loc (from material master Plant storage loc view).

RETA: Shipping point / Plant / Situation

MARE: 1st system will apply MALA, if no entry there then RETA..

Hi there,

In SPRO --> Logistics Execution --> Picking --> Determine picking location.

There you will have something called Assign picking Rule to deliveries. You have basic rules like MALA, RETA, MARE & some other custom codes. Assign the relevant rule to the delivery type.

MALA: Shipping Point / Plant / storage loc (from material master Plant storage loc view).

RETA: Shipping point / Plant / Situation

MARE: 1st system will apply MALA, if no entry there then RETA.

In the custom rule you can write the logic as per your own requirement.

In OVL3, you will find the automatic storage loc determiantion. There you will propose the storage loc that the shipping point / Plant/ storage condition should have.

Hi,

Storage Location automatic determination configuration take place at the following step :

1. SPRO > Logistics Execution >Shipping > Picking > Determine Picking Location > Define Rules for Picking Location Determination

here u assign rule to Delivery type, which is use to capture storage location in delivery

2. SPRO > Logistics Execution >Shipping > Picking > Determine Picking Location > Assign Picking Locations

If u have choose rule MALA In this step u do the assignment of storage location on the basis of

Shipping Point + Plant + Storage Condition = storage location

Hi,

Adding to this, storage condition must be entered in material master in "General Plant Data / Storage 1"
