Stock transfer between storage location to storage location without changing the BIN

Dear experts,

We have a scenario, multiple storage locations of the plant are linked to the same warehouse.

So when we do stock transfer between storage location to location using 1 step(Mvt type 311) or 2 step(Mvt type 313/315).

The BIN should not change, it should remain the same.

As of now, we have a manual strategy for stock placements and removals. i.e. user will check the BIN status and key in the appropriate BIN.

So only for stock transfer between storage location movement types, we want the system to post the stocks to the same BIN.

Kindly advise the appropriate configuration changes required for the same.

It is standard SAP that the bin will not change and you get a posting change notice instead of a transfer order in case of a movement.

In a 2 step movement movement SAP cannot know what storage location 315 will get when it has to process 313, so it is just 2 independent warehouse activities and SAP has to react like for any goods receipt. Why are you even considering a 2step movement within the same warehouse?

Let me rule out the 2 step movement as client said they will only use 1 step movement.

Coming to 1 step movement using 311.

For me only TR is getting generated not PCN.

And when the TO is created and confirmed, the destination BIN is showing as 'TRANSFER' but not the same BIN.

I have enabled post to same BIN in WM movement type 311 and also automatic TR and TO creation and confirmation is in place.

Kindly advise, how to make the system to pick and place the stock in the same BIN.
