SAP and Oracle configurations

Hi...

i'd like to know which kind of configuration recommended to use Oracle database while it involving with SAP

say... in which mode Oracle DB is supposed to run.. (archivelog mode or not archive log mode)...what are the backup policies recommended to use... (whether it is RMAN backups/user managed backups...)

    Hi,

The best configuration is to put the system in Archive log mode so that we can recover the system in case of a system crash.

Regarding the backup it will be good if you schedule it as a cronjob which will run at os level in the background with out any miss.

I dont have any specific document for the configuration .... sorry ...

    Thanks,

    Deepthi
