Hi Experts,
I am working on an IDOC to Mail adapter senerio.
I am plannning to initially send the idoc data directly to my gmail mail account.
I am sending you a details of my communication channel settings!
Pls tell me where exactly I am wrong!!
Communication Channel: CC_MAIL
Service:BS_FILE_BPM
Description: Mail adapter.
Parameters
Adapter Type: Mail http://sap.com/xi/XI/System SAP BASIS 7.00
Receiver
Transport Protocol: SMTP.
Messege Protocol: XIALL.
Adapter Engine: Integration Server.
Connection Parameters for Mail Server:
URL: complete gmail websitr starting with world wide web.
Configure User Authentication : Tick.
Authentication Method: Plain
User: complete gmail address
password: gmail password
Send Delivery status Notification: Ticked
Mail Attributes:
From: complete gmail id
To: complete gmail id
Subject: This is a test mail.
Content Encoding: Base64.
Experts, this is all that I have done....is it enough. Is there any other settings required. I have gone through a lot of SDN materials on Mail adapter...but could nt makle out anything more.. Pls tell me if any further settings are required.
If any of u hev done any receiver mail adapter senerio...pls can u send me the communication channel settings and other relevant settings needed, may be as screen shot.....in my yahoo id.

use Messege Protocol: XIPayload and select the Use mail packgae check box.

do you have tested your scenario already?
Do you see an error in sxmb_moni or in the RWB?

would you like to receive the data in Mail as Plain Text or as Attachment file(XML/TXT etc) since there will be additional Module level setting required for this.
Also make sure everything is working for the sender Comm Channel.
Do let me us know the exact Req so that i can send you some sample config steps

Hi,
Adapter level configuration is enough, before that we need to configure SMTP meanwhile SAP CONNECT, once again check with basis people for those configuration. Once it is finish it will work.
