Hi gurus,

i am learning sap sd module and came across terms like role creation & profile creation management ,user access management and Rules for Segregation of duties & sensitive Transaction access.

can any body help me with this by sending theory and configuration how to create roles and profiles,user access management and Rules for Segregation of duties & sensitive Transaction access.

Get yourself a book about SAP Security and Authorizations... theres a very good one at SAP Press.

You'll find all the info you need there.

Dera Pavan,

First you need to understand the difference between roles and profiles

A role is basically a container of authorizations and other related items.

A profile contains the actual authorizations once a role is generated. In addition a profile can be created from scratch using the classical method--transaction SU02. Roles are created via transaction PFCG.

Now : How to create Role?

Go to transaction pfcg

clieck on create,give short description,

come to authorization their you assign the transaction after that click on change authorization,after that save and generate.

Now you compare the user in the user tab which you want to assign to the role.

Now: User access management?
