Cost element category problem

Former Member

Hi SAP friends,

I have a scenario here like

- We have created a new cost element 100115 with category "1". This will not be assigned in OKB9, when doing PO system works fine.

- We have created another cost element 100116 with category "+". when doing PO system threws error message like "Account 100116 requires an assignment to a CO object

Message no. KI235".

Notes:

1. Why system is giving error for 100116 a/c and why system is not giving error for 100115.

2.The account which is a cost elem. cat. of "1" is not allowing to be entered into the TC:OKB9 and we are getting an Error message which states it must be a 'Revenue' element to be assigned to a Profit Ctr.

Looking forward your best comments/thoughts

adv thanks

Dear,

You have created cost element 100115 with category 1 which is for revenue. It will give impact to COPA directly from SD condition type, so there is no need to define it into OKB9.

Hope above will give helpful to you.

Hi,

Thanks Gopan for your reply

Useually which cost element category accounts needs to assign in TC: OKB9. In our case there are 2 caegory's like 1 and +(i dont know how they have created +). For 1 category system works fine and for + system threws error message like "Account 100116 requires an assignment to a CO object

Message no. KI235".

The account which is a cost elem. cat. of "1" is not allowing to be entered into the TC:OKB9 and we are getting an error message which states it must be a 'Revenue' element to be assigned to a Profit Ctr. Please explain in detail

Looking forward your best thoughts on this
