Hi,

Can anyone please answer the following questions for me. Thank you.

How can you tell by looking at BI 7.0 that business contents are 3.x version or some AP and AR developemnts have been done using

3.x business content.

Is there a way to load a table which has master and transaction data together, to BI 7.0. In the old days we could use flexible update but is there a pure BI 7.0 way to load this without engaging 3.x flexible update. And if we do use 3.x flexible update, do we still have full " functionality" of BI 7.0.

We appreciate all your help.

Hi Venkat,

The use of DTP will show that the developments are BI 7. The small white squre in objects will indicate the developments done in 3.5.

thank you kindly for your answer Annand, however my other two questions remain un-answered.

1. where do we go to check the vesrion of business contents installed and the cubes and BI objects. how can i show the customer that 3.x contents are not installed.

2. how can i load data with master and trans in one table without using 3.x flexible update.

3. even if we use 3.x flexible update, are we compromising some BI 7.0 capabilities, can we say, when using 3.x flexible update method, that we are still using BI 7.0 technology.

Thanks.
