If I follow other postings that say the following:
1) SE09
2) Create new request
3) Open the objects tab and enter the appropriate program ID, object type, and the object name that contains the rows/data that you want to add to a transport request
Instructions typically then say...
4) When you hit enter, a little icon appears under Function. Click on this icon.
>> For me, this icon does not provide me with any way to enter any keys - it just changes the type of transport (Standard Transport, or Delete and Recreate)
5) Now you can enter the table keys of your data you want to transport.
>> I never have any such opportunity.

How can we manually add table contents to a transport request when the advice on SDN doesn't seem to apply for some reason?

I found that I was using "TABL" in the object type field instead of "TABU".
