HOW TO RESTICT USERS NOT TO ASSIGN CERTAIN STRING AS PASSWORDS

HI, TO ALL

MY QUESTION IS

HOW TO RESTRICT THE END USERS NOT TO ASSIGN CERTAIN STRING AS PASSWORDS,

eg. a users name is MIKE and his wife name is rose, i need not want this users to use passwords as his wife (i.e rose)

hopefully you got what i am trying to ask

    You can use se16 t-code for this.

    Hi Haroon khan,

    Go to SE16 give the table name press function key F5, ignore the message select ok in the next screen you will find << new entries >> (or again press F5 )select it and give the string you want to ristrict ( Ex " XXXX" ). save the changes.That's all you done with your task.

    Hi

    for R/3 releases >= 6.10)

    There's DB table USR40, This table is designed to store forbidden passwords and password patterns maintaining the ristricted word in the table you can ristrict... that is the value you maintained in the table can't be used as a password.

      Hi Haroon,

      Nothing to worry just release the request as suggested by Samrat.If you want same stting in other systems in your landscape you can transport that request other that doing it manually again.

      If not release will be fine no need to do any thing else.
