ICSS B2B Self Registration

Hello,

Has anyone setup ICSS B2B Self Registration on the initial Logon page? If so, do you have any documentation and hints to make it work. We are on CRM 5.2/2006s. We can see where it works in B2C but we want to make it work for B2B for the purpose of using Business Partner role type Customer and Contact Person rather than how it is setup with B2C and role type Consumer.

Thanks,

John

    Hi John,

I'm sorry to inform you that self-registration is not possible in B2B scenario for E-Selling and E-Service (ICSS). In B2B, the user is created centrally, through the SU01 or Web based User Maintenance interfaces. This holds true for CRM 5.0

As far as even CRM 5.2 is concerned, since there is no access to documentation, we cannot confirm the same, but as far as CRM 6.0 is concerned, it is confirmed that the customers for the B2B shop are created by Web shop administrators or Super users, and not the customers themselves.

For more bad news, the consumer concept is a standard concept in B2C for CRM Web Channel Sales, and cannot be altered.

However, if you could tell me more in detail about your requirement, I could provide some useful workarounds to you.

One of the suitable workarounds could be to use B2B for ocassional users, as mentioned below:

    Nelson.
