Need help to shift my career path and become a SAP consultant

Hi!

My name is Ankush and 31 years old.

I would like to become a SAP consultant and need some help to figure out from where to start!

I am currently working in Idea cellular LTD and taking care of prepaid sales from the past 2.5 years and hold an experience in FMCG industry (sales) for 3.5 years.

I have a technical education background. I did MCA from GGSIPU but after working for an online survey consulting company i got into sales.

Now I want to make a career shift and want to learn and work as a SAP consultant.

I don’t have an idea and how and from where to begin!

Can I learn SAP without giving up on my job as I have family responsibilities too?

Which module should I take on? ABAP or SD

I live in Delhi and if required I am Willing to relocate.

I aspire to move out of the country for my family’s betterment! Will SAP help me getting opportunities abroad?

Initially what will be the job opportunities in India?

Thanks & Regards

To get good money in SAP SD is tough and will take many years.

If going abroad is the driver to learn SAP, then it will be difficult to sustain the "initial period" (of may be 5 years)

In SAP, technical or functional, there are many analysts (supply is huge...demand is also there)

The first suggestion from me is """"Dont leave your current Job-Continue with it..."""

Just be focused on new SAP developments and follow the SAP developments online every day...

in SAP market -Now S/4 HANA is getting more concentrated by SAP than the Traditional ECC..

(Hope you can understand all these technical terminologies)

Now SAP is full of Fake resumes and candidates-You judge yourself first ,how you can adjust your ideology as per needs..

Also Just try to find one decent SAP institute which can teach you SD followed by ABAP as you are having sales base experience(May be you can plan to spend around 25-30k on this).

You can do certification too but don't expect Job with this certification-You need to do all the other nasty techniques played by recent candidates now to reach a decent package earned with your previous employment.(I am not sharing as it is the candidates fault but current industry promotes that-what to do?)

You can learn through online training too on SD and Abap with S/4 HANA Simple logistics(Because traditional ECC-SD learner can understand better S/4 techniques, but not Mandatory having ECC SD Experience)

Also Practice more(Around 4-6 hrs in a day-I am taking this time as productive hours-Not time spent on system)

All the Very Best.
