Hi,

We use both COPA&PCA and have sales accounts with cost element category 11.We want to use PCA for the gl account(profit from asset sale) and do not want to use copa .

When we use this gl system does not accept profit center .It requires copa assignment.

Regards,

guru.

This is not a P&L item, but this is a balance sheet item. So this should not have been defined as Cost element. The system would not ask for CO account assignment if you had defined this as balance sheet account. Then no data flows to PCA or COPA.

Balance sheet items are transferred to PCA at period end manually.

Hi,

As you have activiated your PA segment you have to give the COPA assignment necessarily. But if you do not want to use COPA further, then you need to deactivate your COPA and then go for only PCA reporting.

profit from asset sale is a profit and loss account ,and not the b/s aaccount.
