Hello Martin,

I hope I understand your problem correctly, but as far as I know you can only "personalize" existing fields like this. You cannot "add" anything new without actually taking apart the application and adding the fields using NWDS...

hello,

well i think you understood me 'half right, half wrong'

it's difficult to explain as we have a german-language system:

i have all the fields there. there are 20 fields available, only 4 are displayed.

i want to display 3 more fields there. but the option for 'hide' is only 'YES' and 'not personalized' (i have to translate it to english, i am not sure if it is right).

But the fields are not displayed anyway ????

also on the 4 fields which ARE displayed i have the option 'not personalized' set in 'hide'.

strange.

Hi Martin,

I got your problem. I was working on the same problem from the past two days. I think I can give you some helpful advise.

You can add new UI Elements by clicking on the root element on the left hand side menu. Once you click you can see two links at the right hand bottom named "re-arrange" and "decorate". Click on the "decorate" link and then you can get few other options for inserting them into iView. Once you make these changes try clicking on the check-box "Add as a new row". And then apply and click OK. I hope this helps you.

Kind regards,

Gopal.

Hi Martin,

Sorry about that. I should have explained you a bit clearly.

For adding new field, ctrl+rightclick and on the small window that pop's up, try to locate the appropriate branch of the field that you are working on.

Now, try to find out the root element of the field and click on it.

Later, at the bottom of the window you can find that "re-arrange and decorate button".

Try finding them. I think you should able to do it this time. I hope this helps.

If you want me send my screenshots, give me your email ID. I can forward you those screenshots.

Kind Regards,

Gopal.

Gopal,

the root element of this fields does NOT have the option 'decorate'.

it is the quoata overview of ESS : sap.com/ess~quotas

the top of the tree has option 'decorate', but this is above the necessary table where

i select the data.

my adrl is

martin.svik(at)denzel.at

maybe we can 'change' some screenshots where you can send me yours and i can

send you mine to explain it in a better way

Hi Martin,

Import the ESS package DC into the NWDI and modify the fields in the iView. You can use the ESS/MSS Cookbook that's available with SAP Note - 872892.

You can also follow for further information.
