No need to worry about deltas for generic data sources. It is automatically handled by the sysbem.

Santhosh,

Delta process determines the format of delta records to be sent. This is usually decided by the extractors in a function module scenario .

As for generic.

Default is full update.

Delta is based on Calendar day , Numeric pointer and Timestamp with the necessary upper and lower safety intervals

Hi ,

Thanks for your inputs ..

To be more specific ...,

I had set TimeStamp and New status for changed Records ..

According to my understading If I set New status for changed Records the Delta process would be AIE ... which would not be using the Delta queue .... or if i set Additive the Delta process would be ADD ... which againg would not be using Delta Queue ...

If i need to Use the Delta queue then i have to change the Delta Process to ABR or AIM ... So should i have to write a function module to do this or is there any other way of changing the Delta process ....

Thanks,

Santosh ....

Both additive and new should use the delta queue.

You need to choose one of the below for delta into generic datasource.

1) Calday

2) Numeric Pointer

3) Timestamp

Go thru the below link.
