SAP SD to SAP Banking

Hi Friends

Can anyone provide me some info on how a SAP Banking would be beneficial for a SD person. Basically i know few of the banking fundamentals. Would it would be beneficial for a SD guy to look into SAP banking.

Plz do answer me

1 Is the SAP banking any where integrated with SD. if where?

2.If a SD guy goes to SAP Banking wat will be the future road for my SD.

3, If i continue in SAP Banking,wats d road ahead of me.

4.If i go to SAP Banking down the line can i enter again into SD

4. If i enter in SAP Banking can i be termed as a Dual function consultant.

Plz do clarify my doubts friends

Dear Sri,

sorry I am not so much into SD, buth the more I am into banking and CRM, so I just try to answer your question from the perspective of CRM rather than SD, hope you can do the transition from CRM to SD yourself.

First clarification:

SAP Banking is to be deployed by a bank, a financial institution, not the financials/AR/AP of a manufacturing company, they might use Treasury & Financial Supply Chain with Inhouse Cash instead.

Q1 Is the SAP banking any where integrated with SD. if where?

A1 CRM and SAP for Banking have multiple touchpoints, e.g. in a. Sales & Marketing, loop over target market identification or campaigns and related bank product configuration in banking.

in b. Contract Origination, selling and advisory and risk-based pricing in CRM connected to account opening in the underlying banking application

in 3. Leasing, CRM for offering of a leasing object with its shaping/configuraation and financial conditions plus services packages (e.g. insurance), and then go to Leasing accounting engine for contract servicing.

On SD, logistics and sales and goods pricing, I cannot find an integration scenario beyond leasing for shipment and sales of underlying goods/mobiles

A2. Cannot answer this, do not know enogh about SD.

A3. The roadmap is working either as banking process designer, as banking integration/NetWeaver expert or as application expert, then develop into industry principal or program manager, as usual, I guess.

A4. Cannot answer this, up to consulting manager and your profile, I guess

A5 Yes for CRM and banking, this is fact in EMEA banking consulting hub already, not sure about SD + banking model
