change delivery class of a table

Hello,

We have a standard table (T011) and we don't want that when we modifie it in our developement environment, SAP asks for a transport request.

We just want to modifie the table.

How can we do it? How we can change the status of a table in order not to include the modifications in a transport request every time we modifie it?

I have investigating a little and I think that changing the delivery class of the table (now the table T011 has Delivery class C) we can solve the issue?

What do you think?

Hi,

One thing you have to remember is that if you run a standard Tcode in SAP, number of SAP tables will get updated with the data.

One more thing is if you have authorisation to modify the table you have to ask your functional consultant about the impact of the modification.

Hi,

The standard tables are present in all the systems Development, Quality and Production and other systems also.

SAP wants to maintain everything should be consistent for all the systems.

What is the requirement of your functional consultant for changing the standard table? Why he wants to change the table? Is there is any problem with the existing once?

Get all the information from him and understand the Business requirement, then only we can think whether he requires any ztable?

Hello,

The reason why he wants that the table T001 should be not transportable is that when he modify this table in the development environment and save the changes in an order and he transport the order to the productive client, all the table is transported to the productive client and not only the changes he has done.

In the productive client, final users can modifie this table, so if he transport the table, the entries that users has modified in productive will be erased.

So ir there a way to not include the table T001 in a transport request when it is transported?

Hi,

The data in the standard tables will be created in respective system that are development,quality and production by running the standard Tcodes in the respective systems.

You can do in this way.

Make the changes what required by the functional consultant by creating the individual separate request and do not include any other objects in that request. Check whether you have authorizations to delete the Transport request. If it is there then you can delete the Transport request that you created for the table.

However the Transport request is not there, so the table cannot be moved to other systems.

There is a mechanism to do this one.

We need to change Tranport to:

1. Automatic Transport

2. Manual Transport.

I hope it will solve your problem.
