Hi All
Can anyone help me in avability check?
when we creat sales order we check the availebility , so
1)if our secinario is make to order then how will we check it?
2)if it is stock to order how will it check it?
3)or it schedulle line?
also please explain if possible what configration step we need to for this?
Hi
In case of MTO system checks the availability based on the type of material. In MTO, material is a custom material where we have to procure some components externally from a vendor or some of the components are procured internally that is inhouse produced components.
In MTO, there is a concept of " Production BOM" where there will be main material for which number of components are required( simply call it as parent item and child items)
In order for the availabilty check to happen, the following config settings are required.
1) For main item you haave to keep the strategy group as 40 in the MMR. For components you have to keep the strategy group as 20
2) You haave to keep the valuation class as FERT for main item and for components you have to keep valuation class as HALB
3) When you create a sales order for the main item, automatically requirements will be passed to MRP based on strategy group, Material type and checking group that are assigned in MMR.
4) Through t.code MD04 stock requirement list/ planned orders are created.
5) Then planned orders are converted into purchase requistions through MD02 t.code
In this way availability check takes place for MTO .
Award points if it is helpful to you

1) MTS scenario availability check will give the stocks as per the availability under unrestricted use and user can select the delivery proposal.
2) MTO scenario availability check during order entry doesn't make sense as there will be no stock against that sale order i,e, special stock. Still you need to activate availability check because at any point of time user can check the sale order stock by performing the availability check in the sale order.

Dear Akash
In Make To Order scenario, as and when you create a sale order, it will be confirmed immediately but you cannot do PGI.
In Make To Stock scenario, based on the checking rule you set in OVZ9, the stock will be confirmed.
