Hi

For one of my client they are asking scenarios like this, they are manufactures so while selling the product they want to know how much sold out for customer wise also they want to know how much Item sold by each at the end of the quarter or year.

For ex:

Customer ABC Item sold out is X, Y, Z

Customer CCC item sold out is X, Z

So finally they want to track by customer wise also they want to know how much items sold out by item wise.so pls guide me on this, i am new to finance.

Hi,

It seems you need to use item level as G/L account by field for the items.

Using a query report, crystal report or XL reporter, you could try to present the report you need. There is no standard report for that if sales analysis report suggested by Suda is not resolved.

Giri,

You can use the Sales Analysis Report for this. See inside Sales > Sales Reports

Hi Experts

Pls give me a solution for this.

That should not be difficult then. If their HD has COA built already, just use them no matter how many accounts need to be put in place.

Thanks,

Hi Giri,

The better solution for your client is by a query instead of creating more than enough individual accounts under Chart of Account.

The query to get both customer wise and item wise report is pretty simple.

You can also try XL Reporters or other reporting tools.

Hi Gordon

Thanks for ur quick reply. The thing which u suggested is fine. But customer want like that only.so wat to do? they were maintaing there acc.'s like that only, so they dont want to change that.

In this case, my suggestion is: discuss with your client to find out why they insist. Using their own logic to draw a completely insane picture so that they can realize how many accounts needed and how difficult to maintain.

Thanks,

Gordon
