Subcon Stock Setting

Hi Gurus,

My company is planning to become a subcon for others company, so might need to keep stock without value or cost.

Those stock do not need to have unit price but got movement so that production can do transaction and backflash, and then the quantity stock will change.

For this stock, we will only invoice out the service cost, but not the material cost. This stock will be use in MM module and PP module.

Is that able to do such setting in SAP 4.0B?

How should I set for this company stock? Which part I should concern more on it?

u can refer it as a job work scenario ,u will be subcontractor for other

what u can do is create non valuated material for all finished and raw material dealing withh the party

steps

1 create non valuated material (unbw material type)

2 take stock from party with movement 501

3 make sales order for the finished goods

4process raw stk and send back finished material

Is it when create the material with UNBW material type and movement 501 it will be able to let the production do backflush ?

Is that has any special things need to be concern when I create a BOM for this material?

this material type not allow u to make any finicial entries

u can make quantitative updates

Is that means if i use material type UNBW, Im not able to create a Bill of Material and not able to do backflush?
