Where to store UNSPSC in ECC6.0

Friends,

We are a manufacturer and are getting pressure from our customers to classify our products using UNSPSC. We are not using SRM or MDM at this time.

Is there a place to store the UNSPSC classification in ECC6.0? I have seen some posts were people are putting it in the manufacture's part number field in MARA. Is this the best place for it?

U can use " ind std desc. " field in basic data 2 view to store UNSPC number.

NORMT-MARA. A tobacco client used to do the same for thier spare parts maintenance.

Hi,

Not sure what UNSPSC is but if it is similar to the MPN number, then yes, you can put in the MARA table. When using HERB material type, you will have these fields available.
