Hi! guys

Do you know if Windows Mobile 6.0 is cerfied by SAP to work with MAM25 SR5 and Db2 ??

I am interested in knowing this beacuse I know that with Windows Mobile 6.0 the data is storage on the flash memory and we can use the total recall to recover application and data too.

Have a nice day

Thank you very much

Hi Xiomara,

first of all, MI runs on Mobile 6.0 now, DB2e does as well and so will MAM work with WM6.0 as well.

BUT: there is an issue on Total Recall - but not because of the mobile device as such. You can ONLY recover the first MI installation before the initial sync with total recall. In the moment you do a snapshot of your MI installaiton at any later stage, you have all the internal pointer at this stagr. But with every new sync these pointers will change. If you now go back to an older stage (with total recall9 and symc, your middleware will throw all funny exceptions you can think off. This is due to the fact, that the pointers are out of sync between the middleware and the device in that case.

Well, I would recommend to have a complete clean installation on your total recall device and start with the first login if necessary. On the other hand - because you have this new type of memory, your data will not be lost in case of low battery. So there is no need to recover running devices. And if the device is not working any longer, we should analyse the reason for this to have it more stable in the future.

Perhaps it makes sence to talk?

Regards,

Oliver
