Hi to all,

I'm new to SAP, and been having a problem connecting in our SAP iDES running in windows. In Sap MMC console, everything is green and running. Note that this server also runs SAP Router.

But when I tried to connect locally, I get this error message from SAP Gui.

Module nixxi.cpp

Method NiPConnect2

Return Code -10

Already turn off firewall, and loopback is ok, any one would like to give suggestion?

Hi kaushal,

Sorry for the late reply, this server is in the network. And have already tried restarting SAP server. But still having some problem upon logon.

The SAP GUI is configured correctly. And SAP port 3299 is open, since I can connect via telnet.

Any other suggestions or recommendations?

Thanks,

AlvinCruz

Hi Alvin,

which connection is broken, the direct conn. (port 3200) or the connction via saprouter (port 3299)?

What is in your saprouttab and what is configured in SAPLogon?

Hi kaushal,

Thanks for the reply, I can definitely ping this IP, since I only access this server remotely.

With regards to c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\services. The entry sapdp00 3200/tcp is correct.

Any other suggestion?

Regards,

Alvin

HI,

But when I tried to connect locally, I get this error message from SAP Gui.

partner '<10.0.0.12>:sapdp00' not reached

-> the above error is indicate that either sap system is not running or there is a problem in network interface.

but you told that sap system is running fine,

one query is this a standalone server or is in network?

try to stop sap server and restart again, and also cheek that you are define correct ip address in gui logon.

Hi,

first try to ping 10.0.0.12 and check the result.

open services file from /system32/drivers/etc and check for following entry

sapdp00 3200/tcp
