XI Runtime with SLD

Hi All, Greetings of the Day.

I am looking for an expert answer on the below situations.

We all understand that SLD and XI will go hand-in-hand and XI also provides SLD data caching capability. My questions are:

1. If SLD goes down at Runtime, Will all the XI Interfaces will fail?

2. Please help to understand what are all the Scenarios may fail?

3. Will ABAP proxy Runtime depends on SLD Cache or It fetches the SLD data directly every time it needs? If possible, please provide a reference link where anybody talks about Proxy runtime with SLD.

4. How do SLD Cache notifications work? I mean, Will SLD Cache be available at XI, in case of SLD non-availability?

Appreciate your comments on this.

Cheers,

Suresh

      Hi,

Please help to understand the situations in detail. As per my understanding, All scenarios shdnt fail.

Some scenarios still are supported by SLD Cache functionality at Runtime.

Appreciate if anybody could provide me a bit more reasoning about it.

      Thank you...
